Timber Ties was founded after recognizing a gap in the market for readily available, well-built, and affordable post bases designed specifically for large scale timber construction.

We saw that builders and timber framers often had limited options when it came to finding structural connections that offered the right combination of strength, quality, appearance, and value. Custom fabrication could be costly and time consuming, while off the shelf options didn't always meet the needs of larger timber projects.

We set out to change that.

Our goal was simple: to create high quality structural hardware that builders could rely on, without the excessive costs or long lead times often associated with specialized connections.

What started with a focus on concealed post bases has grown into an expanding range of timber framing hardware, all proudly manufactured in Ontario, Canada.
